Get a chance to gain your first experience with a real impact in a multinational company. At Vanderlande we are moving from an engineering to order (ETO) to a configure to order (CTO) way of working. This will lead to synergies and economies of scale, and these changes will deliver more value for our customers with a higher quality and at a more competitive price level. You will become a part of the program and contribute to making our purchasing organization fit-for future to facilitate the move from ETO to CTO by unlocking better price levels and lead times.

Waar ga je werken?


Purchasing with Impact is a key strategic program within the business unit Supply. The program has a global scope and spans all three supply chain regions North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. The aim of the program is to optimize our purchasing performance throughout the entire value chain to deliver better bottom-line results for Vanderlande. The objective will be achieved by chasing dedicated savings initiatives, optimalizations of specific supply chains, global standardization and by realizing a fit-for-future operating model.

Your role will be to support the program team of purchasing with impact consisting of program manager who leads the day-to-day execution of the entire program. The PM is supported by various workstream leaders who(m) are all responsible for several sub areas over the overall program. During the assignment you will work on various initiatives for the different program team members. The team consists of people with different background ranging from procurement, supply chain, consultancy as well as finance.


Vanderlande is centrally located near the A50. This means it's easily reachable from Eindhoven, Veldhoven, 's Hertogenbosch, Oss and Helmond.

Wie ben je?

This working student assignment will revolve around supporting the program team to meet their objectives in the various workstreams ranging from workshop facilitation towards PMO related activities with regards to savings and cost movement registration.

The key responsibilities include:

  • The management, report-out and global consolidation across three regions North America, Europe and Asia Pacific of one or multiple key KPIs of the program.
  • Several analyst responsibilities such as data preparation, data analysis, insight development and management report-out of these insights.
  • Program Management Office responsibilities such as the creation of general program communications, support and lead several workshops in the PWI domain.
  • Project Management of smaller digital projects such as spend analytics dashboarding as well as supplier delivery performance analytics dashboarding.

Desired skills:

  • Hard skills: Strong skill of Microsoft Excel, Power BI required, knowledge with Smartsheet, Jira can bring advantage.
  • Soft skills: detailed oriented, organized, proactive.

Wat mag je verwachten?

  • An assignment for at least 3 months.
  • 32-40 hours a week. 
  • A salary of €15,- per hour.
  • 10% holiday hours.
  • 8,33% holiday allowance.
  • Weekly payment by Olympia.
