Wat ga je doen?
Your day as a rubbish sorter starts at 07:00 in the morning. As soon as you come in, you put on your work clothes and start the conveyor belt. You roll up your sleeves and dive into the pile of dirty laundry in front of you. With a keen eye, you sort the different types of textiles: flannels, towels, blankets and sheets. You carefully place them on the conveyor belt, ready to be washed.
While working, you chat pleasantly with your colleagues. Together, you form a close team to make sure everything runs smoothly. You keep a close eye on the belt and make sure the right textiles end up in the right compartments. Sometimes it's a bit of dirty work, but you know: without you no clean sheets in the hospital!
Halfway through the day, you take a well-earned break. A quick rest, some food and drink, and then you get back to work. You notice that the physical work keeps you fit and you enjoy the feeling that you have really achieved something at the end of the day.
You work 3 to 5 days a week, depending on your preference and availability. Working days always fall between Monday and Friday, from 07:00 to 17:00. That means you will have evenings and weekends off to do fun things!

Waar ga je werken?
You will be working at a laundry in the Alphen aan den Rijn region. This company ensures that large institutions such as nursing homes and hospitals always have clean linen. Just think of all those sheets, towels and work clothes that need to be fresh and clean every day!
The laundry is located near Alphen aan den Rijn, a central location in the Green Heart. Cities such as Leiden, Gouda and Zoetermeer are not far away. How exactly you get there depends on where you live. But whether you come by car, bike or public transport, you are most welcome!
In this laundry, you will work in a friendly team with great colleagues. The atmosphere is open and friendly, and there is always someone willing to help if you have a question. During breaks, there is time for a chat and a laugh. You soon notice that everyone here does their bit to make something beautiful together.
The work you do is important. Without you, hospitals and care homes could not function. Every day, you and your colleagues ensure that thousands of people can count on clean and hygienic textiles. That not only makes you feel good, but also makes the work meaningful. You really contribute to caring for others, even if you are not at the bedside yourself
Wie ben je?
You are energetic and enjoy working with your hands. As a production assistant in the laundry, you make sure that the dirty laundry is sorted in the right way so that everything comes back to the customers clean and fresh.
- You are physically fit. This is important because you will be on the move all day and regularly have to lift and move laundry.
- It is a plus if you:
- Can work well together. In laundry, you work in a team and help each other where necessary.
- Have an eye for detail. You make sure the laundry is sorted and handled correctly.
- Flexible in terms of working hours. The laundry often runs at full speed and sometimes it is necessary to lend an extra hand.

- A salary starting at €13.68 per hour (if you are 21 years or older)
- You will receive a salary increase after 6 months
- You can choose to work full-time or part-time
- You always have your evenings and weekends off
- You work 9-hour shifts per day (including breaks, you are on site for 10 hours)

- You build up holiday allowance and holidays
