Yard Manager

Wat ga je doen?

We are looking for a driven Yard Manager to strengthen our team. In this role you are performing logistics tasks outside the warehouse, on the trailer yard. The Yard Manager is responsible to guide inbound and outbound trucks in a good way, secure safe transport handling on the yard and to keep the yard a neath environment.

This jobs contains various tasks, such as:

• Receive inbound container/trailer paperwork, assign driver to a dock, stamp/sign paperwork and inform WAC inbound container is there.
• Responsible for giving green light to pick-up (un-)loaded containers/trailers. Be in touch with WH operations teams to be able to give drivers approval to drive their truck from a dock.
• Add or remove Kingpin slots to disconnected (un-)loading containers/trailers.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment outside the warehouse. Tasks related to waste, cleaning garbage bins and docks to be done in quiet moments.
• Work according to applicable work instructions and SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Contribute to improvement plans.

Wie ben je?

• High school.
• Experience in a (un)loading logistic invironment.
• Verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Communication in Dutch is a pre, but nog obligated.
• Willing to work in shifts, overtime can be needed after evening shift or on saturdays.
• To be able to keep overview in busy/peak moments.
