Customs and Compliance Administrator
Wat ga je doen?
The Customs and Compliance Administrator reports to the Head of Supply Chain and is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of customs formalities for the import and export of shipments. This includes managing audits of bonded goods, controlling the movement of bonded stock, reconciling stock systems (Gateway and Syteline), and preparing Swiss manifests. You will ensure that customs documents are prepared and processed accurately, with all necessary documents and certificates. Additionally, you will maintain key relationships with relevant government authorities, customers, and other involved parties to ensure that goods pass through customs and other relevant processes smoothly and on time.
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Review, prepare, and submit all relevant customs documentation for the import and export of goods, including manifests for Switzerland.
- Communicate with customs authorities and third parties to ensure the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Ensure all necessary permits and paperwork are completed and submitted on time.
- Stay up to date with changes in customs laws and regulations that impact the business and its processes, communicating these changes to relevant stakeholders in both the Netherlands and the UK.
- Conduct bonded audits and control the movement of bonded stock to ensure compliance with bonded warehouse regulations.
- Reconcile stock systems (Gateway and Syteline) to maintain accurate inventory records.
- Consolidate invoices for shipments to the Canary Islands and create zero-cost invoices for sponsors.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in coordination with relevant teams.
- Audit and review compliance with all aspects of the customs warehouse license, working with relevant stakeholders and escalating any findings to the Head of Supply Chain.

Wie ben je?
- Knowledge of and experience with customs import/export regulations outside the EU.
- Understanding of commodity codes and binding tariffs.
- Experience with bonded warehousing is preferable, but not essential.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in Dutch and English.
- Ability to manage multiple documents and processes that are ready for inspections and audits.
- Solutions-oriented thinking, with the ability to resolve challenges based on experience and knowledge.
- Excellent MS365 Office skills, especially a good understanding of Excel, formulas, and interpreting spreadsheets.
